Membership Fees

New Annual Fees (including gst at 6% from July 1, 2006)

The definition of senior in the constitution is "adult over 65". This means the adult must be at least 66 on July 1 of the membership year.

Background

Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. owns the 58 acres upon which Sharon Gun Club operates, the 8 acres just across the road from the clubhouse and the 10 acres to the North previously owned by Thomas Sinclair, a total of 76 acres, and is authorized to issue 1560 common shares without par value. To be an adult member of Sharon Gun Club you must also own a share in Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. or be the nominee of someone who owns a share and is not using it for his own membership. That nomination must be in writing, filed with the club and repeated for each membership year. The members, in effect, also own the property through their shares.

Each share is transferable and represents a secure investment in the real estate on which the club exists, as well as a voting say in the operation of Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. and the right to apply for a membership in Sharon Gun Club.

Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. has sold all of its shares. In order to be a full member of Sharon Gun Club you must find and purchase a share or be a nominee of someone who owns a share and is not using it for his own membership. You can only be a probationary member until you have done so. We publish a list of shareholders who are interested in selling one or more of their shares at the club. You will have to contact a person on that list and arrange to purchase his share.

The arrangement between Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. and Sharon Gun Club is that the club pays all of the legitimate operating costs of Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. as rent, less any income which has been generated by Sharon Recreation Properties Ltd. such as interest etc. The shareholders own the property, the members support and maintain it.
